NS Moving's Response to COVID-19

To Our Valued Clients,

Over the last few weeks, COVID-19, also known as the corona-virus, has become a global topic of concern. NS Moving has been closely monitoring the situation and will continue to evaluate the information supplied by the CDC, WHO, and the public health officials in the communities in which we do business, and follow the recommendations provided by those organizations concerning public health and safety; our primary concern will always be the safety and well-being of our employees, customers and vendors.

NS Moving will continue to follow industry guidelines and best practices in interacting with the public and the handling of our customers’ belongings but will also work closely with our customers to mitigate the risks associated with the outbreak and, ensuring the necessary steps and precautions are taken. Some examples of these practices are:

• Implementation of heightened daily cleaning procedures for our trucks, equipment, dispatch areas and offices every morning and throughout the day.

• Increased hand washing and sanitizing. 

• Politely declining handshakes.

• Daily meetings with our movers and staff to review new information and protocols as well as to reinforce our policy to immediately send home any employee exhibiting possible symptoms related to COVID-19.

• Creation of Social Distancing Protocols to help ensure the continued health of our employees.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

In the meantime, help us help YOU and the community. As your move date approaches please let us know if you are running a fever and/or if you are suffering from flu like symptoms. We trust that you will keep us informed either through email or by calling to let us know in advance so we can make a decision on a case by case basis if your move should be postponed and rescheduled. In observance to the possibilities of coronavirus spreading, we apologize in advance for not shaking hands with you. Please make sure to give our moving team space as they operate within your home or office.

Additionally, we ask that you help prep your home or office in advance to our moving team showing up by disinfecting major surfaces, furniture items, and high traffic areas to limit as much exposure to our team as possible.
